Autumn Falling
Autumn Falling
20” x 16” (17" x 13" image)
latex acrylic on acid-free paper
Like falling leaves gently drifting to earth in Autumn. It is a magical time of change from summer to winter with its own color palette. Dove greys, slate blue and buttery yellows support the burnt orange line that brightens and fades into a soft, inviting feeling.
Heavily textured, like plaster, it is actually latex in four layers of color that I carve into when wet and is very resilient. A 1.4" margin makes the image 17" x 13.25". It is signed on the back and can be turned horizontally or which ever orientation desired. Too thick to roll, it is shipped flat, unframed.
It is one line that can be followed from end-to-end like a Labyrinth - ancient symbols of the inner journey and have long been used in prayer and meditation. These action paintings were developed in the heart of Manhattan in 2020 and are truly New York Abstract Expressionism.
