Prometheus famously stole fire from the underworld to enlighten mortals on Earth. Eternal discontent was his punishment from the gods. Like flames, the lines dart from foreground to background, bending space like brain activity in a conflagration of color. This is the story of every artist who plumbs the depths of their soul to reveal its truths.

I see a royal presence here floating through life's complexities.
To feel connected with the divine is to be blessed.
Does ‘enlightenment’ cast a shadow? Maybe like hypocrisy, information bias, begging the question, a hammer looking for nails? 'Certainty' obscures objectivity.
Does this painting communicate this complex concept? No. These were thoughts that came to mind when I painted it. Hopefully this expression evokes more than my intentions.

The search for the Holy Grail is the most famous quest. Our Life Quest is to become the unique person we each are. Jung called it Individuation. How to express our inner self while finding a place in the world. Like an acorn growing into an oak tree, the blueprint is within and the seeker’s quest is to become one with it, to use its ancient intelligence to mitigate the world.
Our most valuable resource is our individuality, creatively solving problems in new ways. Normal is overrated. - the passion for a quest is a blessed curse. The grit in the oyster - a pearl will result if pursued.
